This is a fun version of the old hot dogs simmered in barbecue sauce. I tried this recipe during a tailgate session at one of the many tracks I visited and
didn’t write it down, or even who it came from or exactly what was in it. So I tried it at home and came up with my own version. That’s the great thing about camper cities at racetracks they’re full of fun and great ideas.

• 1 package hot dogs

• 1/2 pound smoked sausage

• 1/2 pound kielbasa

• 1/2 pound bratwurst

• 1/2 pound frozen meatballs

• 1 can sloppy joe mix

• 2 cups favorite barbecue sauce

• Water as needed

1. Slice all of the meats into bite-size pieces. Combine with everything else in a crockpot.

2. Simmer for as long as possible and serve hot.

If you have a favorite meat toss it in! Store in a freezer bag until needed at your track event then just warm them up!
