Hi Elly,
Could this be it? It doesn't call for a crockpot, but 200 degress = crockpot on low and cooking time should be similar.
Title: Recipe(tried): Laura's Honey Ham
Posted By: Nancy (CA)
Date: November 21st 1998
Board: Tried and True/Heirloom Recipes
The recipe comes from the LA Times Food Section and duplicates the honey glaze used at those expensive ham stores.
1 medium smoked pork picnic shoulder (about 7 lbs.)
water
2 c. sugar
1 c. honey
1 6 oz. can orange juice concentrate (thawed)
1 t. whole cloves
Make diagonal slits, 1/2" apart, halfway through ham to where knife touches bone. Place ham in deep bowl and add water just to cover. Stir in sugar. Soak for at least two days in refridgerator.
Place ham in roasting pan lined with enough foil to completely cover ham. Pou honey and orange juice all over ham. Insert cloves into meat. Wrap tightly in foil. Bake at 200 degrees 6 to 7 hours or until done, unwrapping occassionally and basting with orange-honey mixture. Unwrap and increase oven to 450 --and bake another 15 minutes to crisp skin. Serves 10-12.
This is very easy --- you just need a big head start!
