Hi Shivani, these are the cookies I make everyday
at work.I've never had a complaint..good luck.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup margarine or butter,softened
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp.salt
3/4 tsp.baking soda
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped nuts
Combine the flour, salt and soda; set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the margarine and
both sugars, beating well.Add the egg and vanilla ;
mixing well. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
Add the combined flour mixture, beating until well
combined.Add the chocolate chips and/or chopped nuts.
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Drop the dough onto lightly
greased( or lined with parchment paper ) cookie sheets.
( I use a small scoop ).
Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until they are
a light golden brown. Cool cookies on wire racks.
Enjoy!!
These are also very good with no chocolate chips and
chopped nuts instead. You can also use mini baking
M & M's , or white chocolate chips, or a combination
of milk chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips,
and white chocolate chips. Well, I hope you try this
recipe. Enjoy.
