Here's a keeper for your files...
ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH APPLE CRISP Servings: 6-8
5 cups tart green apples, peeled and sliced 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon lemon peel, grated 1 teaspoon orange peel, grated 2 tablespoons orange liqueur 2 tablespoons almond liqueur 3/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup flour 6 tablespoons butter 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed 1/4 teaspoon salt whipping cream or ice cream
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 2-quart round baking dish.
Arrange apple slices in bottom of dish. Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon, lemon peel, orange peel, orange and almond liqueurs.
Combine sugar, flour, butter, brown sugar, and salt in medium bowl and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.
Bake until golden brown, about 1 hour. Spoon into bowls. Garnish with ice cream. |
