I saw chocolate sheet and couldnt help but share this, it's not the "my great recipe card" but my mother made this for every special occasion for years. She passed earlier this year and I recently was looking for another recipe in her recipe box and found the original scrap of paper this is written on:

Dry ingredients,
2 c sugar
2 cup flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt

bring to a boil:
1 1/2 sticks oleo
4 tbs cocoa powder
1 C water
pour this boiling mixture over the above dry ingredients,
add:
1/2 C buttermilk 1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs

Mix well, pour into cookie sheet pan with 1" sidesl. Bake at 350 degrees (recipe does not say how long to bake) probably til cake pulls away from sides of pan and pick comes out clean.

ICING
1 stick oleo melted
add: 4 tbsp cocoa powder
6 tbsp buttermilk,
bring to boil then add
1 box powdered sugar 16 oz
1 tsp vanilla
1 C nuts, optional

Spread hot icing over cooled cake.
