CHOCOLATE GRAVY
1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup sugar 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder 1 dash salt 1/2 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter 1 can biscuits (or homemade)
While the biscuits are baking, bring the milk to a near boil in a pot and then add the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt and stir continuously with a whisk until thick. Then add the butter and whip to make the gravy smooth and creamy. More milk may be needed but it should have the consistency of gravy—not too thick, like a brownie, nor too runny, like soup. |
