Recipe: Getting Rid of Pantry Pests

Tips and Tricks - Cooking
Moths that infest flours, nuts, cake mixes. I bought a box from a discount store that infected my whole kitchen. Almond Moths (gray)Indian Moths (copper colored). Much research and a slip of the tongue from an exterminator:

First! Freeze or refrigerate newly purchased flours and nuts. Any box of mix where the mix is not enclosed in a plastic sealed bag needs to be refrigerated.
SECOND: Throw out all infested foods, nuts etc.
THIRD: Purchase a "pest strip" one of those enclosed in plastic that stand or be hung. Put in in your cupboard.

They will die out if no food to eat, and pest strip speeds process and for eggs that haven't hatched yet.
NOW, you can keep mixes in sealed canisters, large coffee cans with lids, etc. BUT, freeze all of your nuts, canisters don't seem to prevent infestation.
Aw gee, and my cats were having so much fun chasing them! Good Luck
