My mom made poppy seed coffee cake using Py-O-My coffee cake mix (hard to find in all stores).

Follow directions on box up to the point where you let the dough rise the first time (1 hour). Make sure you put the dough in a warm spot to rise.

Knead the dough and divide in half. Roll out one of the halves (floured mat and roller) and spread on 1/2 can of the Solo Poppy Seed. Roll dough into crescent shape (jelly roll). Repeat with other half of dough. Place on cookie sheet. Cover with wax paper (I usually add a little oil to the tops of the loaves to prevent sticking). Let it re-rise (1/2 hour).

Remove wax paper and bake at 400 to 425 degrees F for about 12-20 minutes (see mix box). When it's done, I rub the warm loaves with a stick of butter or margarine as it melts in there. I know it's not healthy, but oh, it tastes so good.
