HOMEMADE PITA CHIPS

1 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon fresh dill, washed, dried, or to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
1 (14 ounce) package pita bread, cut into halves
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, or to taste (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In the bowl of a food processor fitted with a metal blade, or whisking together in a large bowl, combine the olive oil with the garlic, oregano, dill, salt and pepper.

Brush each half of the pits bread on both sides with seasoned oil, then stack the bread and cut it into triangles. Place on three ungreased baking sheets and sprinkle with salt, extra oregano, dill and Parmesan cheese, if desired.

Bake 10 minutes, turn and bake an additional 10 minutes if desired or until crisp. Remove from oven and let cool to room temperature.

Serve with hummus or any other dip.

Makes 90-120 chips
