SPICY APPLE TWISTS WITH LEMON SAUCE
2 apples 1 can crescent dinner rolls 1/2 cup sugar 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 3/4 cup water
Peel and core apples. Cut each into 8 wedges.
Open crescent rolls and cut the eight triangles in half. Wrap the 16 apple wedges with the dough. Place in baking dish.
Sprinkle with mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Dot with butter. Pour 3/4 cup water over apples.
Bake at 450 degrees F for 25-30 minutes.
Serve with Lemon Sauce.
LEMON SAUCE
1/2 cup sugar 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind 2 tablespoons margarine 1 tablespoon Cornstarch 1 cup water 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Mix sugar, cornstarch lemon rind and water in saucepan. Cook mixture stirring constantly until clear and thick. Remove from heat and Stir in margarine and lemon juice. Stir until margarine is melted and serve over Spicy Apple Twists.
