CREAMY RICE AND BEEF
1 (4 1/2 oz.) pkg. Armour Star Sliced Dried Beef, rinsed, cut into bite size pieces 1/2 cup finely chopped onion 1 tablespoon butter or margarine 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of celery or mushroom soup 1/2 cup milk 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas, thawed 1 Beef Flavor Bouillon Cube dissolved in 2 cups boiling water 1 2/3 cups instant rice
Saute onion in skillet with butter or margarine until soft, but not browned.
Add dried beef, (undiluted) soup, milk and peas. Add bouillon cube dissolved in 2 cups boiling water to meat mixture. Bring to boil over medium heat.
Stir in rice, cover and reduce heat. Simmer 10 minutes or until most of liquid is absorbed.
MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine onion and butter or margarine; microwave on high for 2 minutes. Add dried beef, soup, milk and peas. Stir in bouillon cube dissolved in 2 cups boiling water. Microwave on high 4-6 minutes or until boiling. Stir in rice, cover and microwave on high for 4-6 minutes or until most of liquid is absorbed.
