Recipe: Gluten Free Quick Pizza (using GF Bisquick)

GLUTEN FREE QUICK PIZZA



FOR THE PIZZA CRUST:
11/3 cups Bisquick Gluten Free Baking Mix
1/2 teaspoon gluten-free Italian seasoning or dried basil leaves
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs, beaten

SUGGESTED TOPPINGS:
1 (8 oz) can gluten-free pizza sauce
1 cup bite-size pieces favorite meat or vegetables
1 1/2 cups gluten-free shredded mozzarella cheese (6 oz)

Heat oven to 425 degrees F. Grease 12-inch pizza pan with shortening or cooking spray (without flour).

In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, Italian seasoning, water, oil and eggs until well combined; spread in pan.

Bake 15 minutes (crust will appear cracked).

Spread pizza sauce over crust; top with meat and cheese. Bake 10 to 15 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

VARIATION:

FOR A WHITE PIZZA:
Brush the crust with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic and herbs. Then, top with chopped cooked chicken and grated Parmesan cheese. Or, spread the crust with gluten-free Alfredo sauce instead of using the oil, garlic and herbs.
