ISO: small amount of frosting (for writing on cake)

Alright well i dont know if someone will respond quick enough but its my birthday and im trying to make frosting to write happy birthday on the cake. but i only need enough so that i can write those few words and it says i need 2 pounds of powdered sugar! all i have is like .5 lbs!! and i dont know what the other measurings would be if i made it a smaller proportion.
